Our client is a leading company in the industry and renowned for their involvement with the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Fire and Telecommunication services on Infrastructure Projects throughout the UK. They are currently looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team.
Project Overview : This project is focussed on electrical work, encompassing primary cable management systems (CMS), cable tray installations, lighting installations, and distribution board setups. The project entails extensive cabling work spanning various areas of the plant, including boilers, waste bunkers, and other critical infrastructure components.
Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Electrical Quality Assurance Manager to join a team in Birmingham, overseeing quality assurance processes for all electrical installations on-site. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical installations, strong documentation skills, and the ability to manage on-site inspections, coordinate handovers, and forecast project progress. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, conducting regular inspections, and providing reports and updates on quality metrics and progress.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and coordinate quality assurance processes for all electrical installations on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Have the ability to perform quality assurance tasks themselves, including conducting inspections and verifying compliance with quality requirements.
- Utilize site experience to oversee electrical installations, coordinate handovers, and ensure the successful completion of project milestones.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality records, and other relevant documentation.
- Manage on-site inspections to verify compliance with quality requirements and identify any non-conformances or issues that require corrective action.
- Coordinate handovers and racking processes, ensuring seamless transitions between project phases and stakeholders.
- Forecast project progress and provide regular updates on quality metrics, progress, and any issues encountered.
- Utilize IT skills to manage and coordinate quality assurance processes, including the use of software for documentation and reporting.
