What Is the Future Teachers Programme?
This one-year programme gives you first-hand experience in secondary schools, helping you build the practical skills and confidence needed for a smooth transition into teacher training. You’ll work as a Cover Supervisor, gaining valuable insight into the world of education.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Cover Supervisor in a Bridgwater secondary school, you will :
- Supervise lessons during teacher absences using pre-prepared materials
- Support student engagement and behaviour in the classroom
- Experience teaching life without the pressure of planning or marking
- Observe and learn from experienced teaching professionals
