Tradewind RecruitmentBrent, London- Permanent
Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a experienced Teacher to join this supportive primary PRU as a SEMH teacher. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September 2024 for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent.
The School :
The school supports children from Islington primary schools with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs who have been permanently excluded, allocated a place through SEN consultation or via the Securing Education Board on a short-term placement. A high number of pupils here also have an additional diagnosis of autism and / or ADHD. Class sizes are therefore smaller with up to six pupils per class and there is a high staff-to-pupil ratio so that children are given the correct support when needed across the school day.
As a SEN teacher you will be responsible for the below :
- Planning and assessing pupils with SEMH
- Working with the TAs and mentors to put in place and run interventions.
- Support and implement the schools behaviour policy
- Updating and setting targets for children
- Working alongside other professionals in the support network
