A family run joinery company on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex are currently recruiting for a Cabinet Maker. This position is paying between £34,000 - £39,300 per annum, depending on experience. This will lead to a permanent role after a successful 3 month probation period. Overview of the role : As a cabinet maker, you will be expected to work collaboratively within a team of 16 staff, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and report daily to the workshop supervisor. Hours of work : Monday - Thursday, 7 : 30am - 4 : 30pm & Friday, 7 : 30am - 4 : 00pm (42-hour week) Duties include : Using spindle moulders, tenoning machines, edge banders, speed sanding machines, cross cut saws plus much more Reporting stock levels to line managerAccurately record jobs on time sheetsTo produce kitchens and other high-end bespoke products from timberEnsure work is quality control checked to the required standardUtilise the correct machinery for the job and operate to safety guidelinesInterpret drawings / job sheets & cutting listsCandidate requirements : Strong Team PlayerAbility to read from technical drawingsGood problem solving skillsApprenticeship, NVQ or Diploma in furniture / cabinet making or joinery Company perks : Statutory Company PensionChristmas Shut Down28 days' holiday per yearFree Parking On-SiteIndustry : Manufacturing and Production If you are a Cabinet Maker interested in this role, apply online today or for more information, speak with Jack at Prime Appointments, you will find my contact details on our website.
