Sen TutorStart date : February 2025 GreenwichFull time Salary : £20 - £30 an hour Depending on experience TeacherActive are recruiting for strong SEN Tutors in the Greenwich area.In this role, you will be working on a one to one basis, or in small groups with pupils that have SEMH and ASD needs. This may be in Education settings or other venues - such as libraries or at the home of the pupil.Due to the nature and the complexities that are attached to each referral, we are unable to go into specific details on each role.The Alternative Provision are looking for people to start immediately. We have a full time position.SEN Tutor - (could be HLTA, LSA or teacher)Experienced tutor, confident in delivering 1 : 1 or small groupsConfident working independently in the home or other venuesAbility to connect with children and families effectively and build trusting relationshipsExcellent KS3 / KS4 curriculum knowledgeAbility to differentiate curriculum in a creative and bespoke mannerExperience with and understanding of working with SEMH / SENAn undergraduate degree, and / or prior experience working alongside pupils with SENDGood general education levels in English and MathsKnowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning difficulties and disabilities (SEMH, ASC, challenging behaviour)Ability to adapt to various working environments and students with differing abilitiesPractical approach to the needs of students with Learning Difficulties and DisabilitiesGood interpersonal and communication skill and a caring attitudeFlexibility in terms of working patternsEmail us at or  call (phone number removed)All applicants will be contacted to discuss suitability and then invited to register with TeacherActive.Registration involves an enhanced DBS check, ID checks and will require you to supply good professional references.
