An exciting opportunity has arisen in our CorporateSimplification Restructuring Advisory team.

You will have the opportunity to develop a breadthof commercial skills and experience across corporate reorganisations andMembers Voluntary Liquidations within the team. The primary focus of therole is based in London, however we operate a national practice so thesuccessful candidate could be located anywhere in the UK  and working alongside Partners / Directorsthroughout the country.

The role will involve attending marketing eventsand working with the Partners and Directors to help them with their marketingand business objectives. The position encourages growth and career development,with a clear path of progression.

Responsibilities :

Our new colleague will be responsible for thefollowing (but not limited to) :

  • Complete assignments in accordance with the Firm’s standard procedures and relevant statutory obligations, and to confirm arrangements with the client or company including likely costs and billing arrangements.
  • Work closely alongside other Corporate Simplification staff to plan and execute assignments, and manage cases in accordance with the Firm’s standard procedures and relevant statutory and regulatory obligations.

This mayinvolve some of the following :

  • Assisting and supporting the Corporate Simplification team and providing training and support to colleagues within the team.
  • Preparing and seeking approval of engagement letters ,ancillary documents and take on procedures.
  • Completion of KPI’s for Partner / Director approval.
  • Ensuring assigned diary lines are completed in accordance with RA compliance standards.
  • Reviewing and approval of documents across IPS and Virtual Cabinet.
  • General case administration including raising bills.
  • Understanding the projects in their entirety alongside the Partner / Director and other RSM Tax, Accounting and Legal teams.
  • Attendance at initial meetings with the client and other RSM staff.
  • Analysing and challenging information received from the client.
  • Managing large corporate entity reduction projects.
  • Taking responsibility for asset realisations and distributions to members.
  • Preparation of statutory reports.
  • Contributing to the team’s development through significant / extensive networking and technical skills.
  • Personal and professional qualities :

    Our new colleague will be CPI or JIEB qualified withprevious experience in a similar role and be able to perform a lead role in MembersVoluntary Liquidations. We require an individual with very good qualitytechnical, analytical, and report writing abilities as well as stronginterpersonal skills. To be successful in this position you will also need tohave :

  • Experience in building and managing stakeholder relationships with both internal colleagues and external clients.
  • Proven experience of either preparation of financial information or the ability to analyse the information.
  • Experience in Corporate Simplification or in a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to high quality delivery within agreed timeframes.
  • ACA or similar qualified would be an advantage.
