Job description

Equans is looking for a Compliance and Asset Manager to join our team in Bellshill on a permenant basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

Reporting to the Account Manager at North Lanarkshire Schools, the Compliance and Asset Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all technical services are delivered in compliance with law, relevant standards and in accordance with good industry practice across the contracts portfolio of schools. They will support asset data collection and management, ensuring project completion activities (such as asset capture and addition to the PPM system) occur and support wider project close out.

The role holder will also lead the close-out of all audit actions and non-conformances. In addition, they will develop and implement the Contract Key performance Indicator (KPI) Compliance System and statutory / mandatory compliance systems across all aspects of technical service delivery across the contract. The role will support during the hand back process ensuring that all documents and asset data is available to the client and stakeholders.

What will you deliver?

  • Develop, implement and audit a compliance framework system that pulls together : -
  • Regulatory, and Statutory Compliance /  Service Compliance /  Commercial Compliance /  SHEQ Compliance /  Asset Management
  • Work with Head of Technical to prepare audit criteria audit programmes and system of non-conformance reporting and management.
  • Routinely consolidate performance reports for each dept and distil this into summary reports for management.
  • Ensure monthly reports from each site are signed by the Account Manager, verifying the accuracy and validity of each site report.
  • Prepare individual and consolidated reports for returns to Internal Audit Team.
  • Work with the Technical Manager / Facilities Managers to identify areas of improvement and collate improvement plans, reporting to the Account Manager
  • Monitor and trending of key compliance indicators producing reports to Technical Manager and assisting with closure of these non-conformances.
  • Prepare and present to the Account Director and Head of Technical, monthly / quarterly and annual performance of the Technical Team in an agreed set of monitoring points to assist the Senior Management Team in understanding of general compliance across the business
  • Design and own a compliance audit plan and tools for Technical areas reporting on monthly performance against plan from Industry Standards and Guidance from within the BU.

  • Who are we looking for?

  • Proven experience within the PFI sector, and day-to-day operation and maintenance of varying types of buildings / premises such as schools, fire stations and production environments
  • Team leadership and finance knowledge
  • Business and technical experience
  • Previous demonstrable relevant experience in a PFI environment
  • HNC or HND
  • Suitable post qualifying relevant experience in a similar role
  • Good communication skills and a flexible attitude to work
