Children With Disabilities Social Worker in Barrow in Furness, Westmorland
Case holding of children and young people receiving provision of support through S17 CIN - Direct payments, completing Child in Need Visits, reviewing care plans and completing Child and Family Assessments.
Case holding children who are Looked After subject to S20 and S31, Statutory visits, attending CLA reviews and updating Care Plans.
Carrying out 12 month reassessment of Child and Family Assessments.
Attendance at MDT meetings, EHCP meetings, multi agency working alongside health and education and other professionals involved.
The role will also cover safeguarding responsibilities, S47 enquiries and Child Protection planning, PLO and court work.
There is also duty work as part of CWD Team, working alongside Safeguarding hub to triage Contacts and referrals.
The social worker will report to Line manager - Team manager CWD Team and be part of a team of up to 8 social workers. There will be timely case recording required as part of practice standards and performance management. Regular supervision of allocated children alongside personal supervision sessions.
