Semi Senior practice manager in a full service, mid sized firm of Chartered Accountants based in West London. Overall, the firm has 70 members of staff across 3 different offices in Aylesbury, Ealing, and Pitstone. They are looking for a semi senior practice manager / assistant manager to join their ever growing firm, and to make a real impact.

Last year the firm turned over £6.5million, and is growing rapidly, as in 2022 they turned over £1.5million, showing just how much of a growing, and ambitious practice this is.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking to take their career to the next step. They will be QBE or fully qualified, and will be looking to begin their career in management, or someone who is happy in a semi senior management role, where they will still have a lot of responsibilities.

Semi Senior Practice Manager Position Overview

Client Management :

Act as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing expert financial advice and fostering strong client relationships.

Understand client needs and objectives to tailor financial solutions and services accordingly.

Team Supervision :

Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

Workflow Management :

Coordinate and prioritize workflow within the practice, allocating resources and managing deadlines to ensure efficient service delivery.

Monitor progress on client engagements and intervene as needed to address any issues or concerns.

Financial Reporting :

Review and approve financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Provide guidance on complex accounting matters and assist with technical accounting research.

Quality Control :

Implement and maintain quality control procedures to uphold the highest standards of service and accuracy.

Conduct periodic reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement :

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the practice.

Implement best practices and workflows to streamline operations and enhance client service delivery.

Semi Senior Practice Manager Position Requirements

• ACCA, or ACA, or CIMA, or FCCA qualified. Or qualified by experience
• At least 4-5 years experience working in UK accountancy practice
• UK citizen and no require for sponsorship
• Fully office based, and must be happy with the commute
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, organisational, and management skills
• Proficiency in a range of accounting systems
