Vice President, GMS Security Development Operations
Role Purpose
This role is responsible forleading the Security Development Operations strategy for the Global Managed Services capability within NCC Group. The role is responsible for developing and delivering the technology strategy to ensure GMS services deliver innovative, high quality, comprehensive and cost-effective services to clients. This includes leading a team of 60 plus colleagues globally to deliver architectural designs, prototyping and development of wider system integrations (Splunk, VMWare, Microsoft CrowdStrike, and other leading security technologies) as well as collaboration with wider stakeholder engagement across NCC to align with the overall company strategy
Key Accountabilities
Design and architecture of in-house solution for delivery of NCC’s GMS solution suite. This includes :
- Tenant model design and utilisation of NCC architecture to allow management of client tenants.
- Design of over-arching architecture for NCC Group infrastructure, as well as integration into client environments to allow consumption of MDR service.
- Collaboration with highly technical developers, detection engineers and red teamers to harden designs.
- Close collaboration with developers to create a DevOps / infrastructure-as-code approach to deployment.
- Design and documentation of reference architectures.
- Development of customer configuration and management portal
- Management of development work and feature backlog
- Provide maintenance to the deployment pipeline
- Troubleshoot failed deployments
- Ensure platform health
- Aid in response to service issues on the platform
- Act as SME on atypical deployments, for example (but not limited to) coverage of AWS, GCP, protection of container workloads, complex multitenant customers
- Assist with RFPs where required
- Join calls with more complex prospective customers to provide platform overviews
- Provide ad-hoc assistance / maintenance of demo environment(s)
- Assist in delivery of non-standard customers via the delivery team
- Lead technical workshops with complex customers to ensure proposed designs are fit for purpose
- Working collaboratively with Global Technical Services on central delivered resource, standards and processes.
- Ensuring Security Good Practice and adhering to Group Security policy and standards at all times.
- Engaging with Group Design Authority to ensure technical and solution architecture standards and documentation meet requirements.
