The role is to start as soon as possible, with the potential to become a permanent position once on contract. The school has a fantastic team of educators and support staff, all working together to ensure that each pupil thrives in an environment suited to their needs.Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teacher :

• Teach a variety of subjects to secondary-aged pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other learning needs.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual learning needs of pupils.
• Provide in-class support and one-to-one interventions where necessary.
• Work closely with the SENCO and other teaching staff to implement individualised learning plans.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil engagement, confidence, and academic progress.
• Manage behaviour positively and create a calm, supportive classroom atmosphere.The Ideal SEN Teacher Will :
• Be a fully qualified teacher with experience teaching pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or other learning difficulties.
• Have a passion for supporting children and young people in special educational needs settings.
• Be adaptable, proactive, and able to think on your feet.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Have a calm, patient, and nurturing approach to teaching.
• Be committed to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.SEN Teacher Requirements :
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience in teaching pupils with SEND, particularly SEMH, ASD, ADHD.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong references covering the last 2-3 years.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
