Providing equitable access to electric vehicle charging, and achieving cleaner air for all, is at the heart of the Believ mission. We work closely with local authorities and businesses to deliver reliable, high quality charging networks at pace, at scale and at zero cost.

You’ll be joining this exciting journey at the start of our scale-up phase, and working with us to hit the ambitious targets our shareholders have set. You’ll become part of a passionate and supportive team in a fast-paced, dynamic and result-driven environment.

About the Role

The role reports to the Senior Build Manager and in this position, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Build Manager in the end-to-end delivery of the site design, planning, build and sign off, ensuring all vendors deliver on time.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Support the Senior Build Manager with all aspects of the build process.
  • Support the Planning Team by using experience, knowledge and skill to ensure sites are feasible, especially in relation to the DNO LV / HV connection and IET CoP.
  • Develop a close working relationship with supply chain and external contractors especially the delivery element.
  • Feed any requested / agreed information to the PMO Team within the agreed timeframe.
  • Delivery of all required project metrics / reports to the required standards and in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in defining delivery programme plan.
  • Manage / being responsible for design, delivery, commissioning, reporting all and any key issues and considerations, that might have a negative impact to the Leadership Team.
  • Support the wider team for all build knowledge of installing.
  • Support the project from a Health & Safety perspective, ensuring the project is being delivered safely and in line with all regulations set out by the HSE.

Key Success Factors

  • Accurate point of connection feasibility checks ensuring sites do not drop out later through the process.
  • Support the Senior Build Manager on ensuring the supply chain deliver on time, including all sign offs and commissioning.
  • Work seamlessly with individuals across all teams to understand the latest updates on all activities within the planning and build phases.

  • Good computer and literacy skills including Windows based software programmes Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Full Driving License.

  • Experience

  • Good understanding / knowledge of working within the LA highways and private land.
  • Proven / good understanding of DNO related activities including cable location, sizing and identification procedures.
  • LV / HV cable laying, Ducting Joint pits and Connections.
  • Substation installation, Bases, GRP Cabinet installs, Earthing, commissioning.
  • Experience of document management.
  • Experience of delivering quality projects and programmes at pace, utilising innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ideally the candidate would have experience in the installation of electric vehicle infrastructure deployment would be advantageous.
  • Qualifications and Education

  • Evidence of working in a similar environment.
  • NRSWA Operatives and supervisor ticket holder (Ideally).
  • SSSTS / SSMTS holder (Ideally).
  • ECS (CSCS) holder.
  • EUSR qualification – Gas, Water, Electric.

  • Location
