Are you ready to power the future of renewable energy?We are working with our client to hire a Project Engineer to join their dynamic Engineering Team. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Principal Electrical Engineer and provide critical technical expertise across all operational aspects of electrical and fibre optic engineering projects.This is a chance to be part of a specialist team that’s driving innovation in high voltage (HV) and fibre optic infrastructure, powering the wind energy sector with technical excellence and a relentless focus on safety and standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the development of engineering solutions and procedures for HV and fibre optic operations.Ensure compliance with electrical and fibre optic legislation, standards, and best practices across all projects.Provide technical expertise in electrical / fibre optic test equipment – from evaluation and maintenance to selection and operational guidance.Deliver training and mentorship to operational teams and contribute to training course development.Support project delivery from tender to execution, offering technical insight and troubleshooting.Play an active role in on-site commissioning, testing, and out-of-hours project support when required.What We’re Looking ForEducation & Experience : Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience.City & Guilds Level 3 in Fibre Optics or equivalent experience in fibre optic systems.Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of HV / LV systems, protection systems, switchgear, and fibre optic technologies.Proficient in electrical and fibre optic test equipment analysis, performance evaluation, and maintenance.Soft Skills : Excellent communication across all levels of the organization.Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.Certifications : Minimum IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.RMS is an equal opportunities employer, if you have not been contacted within 7 days following your application, please accept this as you have not been successful on these occasions
