LOCATION(S) : Edinburgh or Birmingham

SALARY : £70,929 - £74,869

HOURS : Full time

WORKING PATTERN : Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in one of the above office locations

About this opportunity

We're looking to recruit a Senior Technical Application Specialist (TAS) to work in our International & CHAPS Lab providing payment options for all of our customers. Specifically, to support our new industry-leading International Payments Platform (IPP)!

Our strategic roadmap includes a Payments Industry product called Global Payments Plus (GPP). This product is being used to deliver key revenue streams as well as enable mandatory compliance. Your role will involve supporting the integration and configuration of these systems, and collaborating with third-party vendors to ensure smooth operation.

What you'll need

• Experience with International SWIFT and Payments, including integrating third-party packages, customizing solutions, and implementing rules-based engineering.
• All-around knowledge of the software development lifecycle, ideally within a modern Agile engineering environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills within a technical environment.
• Ability to work with third-party suppliers to manage defects.
• Support planning and implementing production changes.
• Developing product specifications, designing testing procedures and standards.
• Adept at solution design and problem solving.
• Hands-on configuration experience with Finastra Global Payplus (GPP) to meet complex requirements.
• Proven experience with technologies such as Java EE (J2EE), SQL, Oracle, Unix / Linux, MQ, WebSphere, UrbanCode is advantageous.
• Experience with Agile tooling is essential.
