HGV Class 1 Driver – Uttoxeter

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire . This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.

Shifts

Monday to Friday
Start times between 15 : 00 and 19 : 00

Rates of Pay

£17.00 per hour (basic)

£17.55 per hour (Friday)

£20.35 per hour (Sunday)

Day-to-Day Duties

Carrying out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required)

Operating and driving Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently

Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly

Adhering to traffic laws and regulations

Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers

Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required

Essential Skills

Valid UK Category CE driving licence

Minimum of 12 month's experience driving CE vehicles

Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card

No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes

Good level of spoken and written English

Punctual with excellent time-keeping

Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations

Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

Previous experience driving commercial vehicles

Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided

Driver assessment must be completed before starting

One-day paid induction following successful assessment
