We're investing heavily in our Engineering team, offering opportunities for personal development and career progression. We are recruiting for Engineering Team Leaders at our Sittingbourne site.

What is the mission?

Your main responsibilities include leading a team of two engineers on shift to ensure continuous production by eliminating downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance. You will work on various equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical / electronic control systems.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance activities. The shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off, covering both days and nights from 6am to 6pm.

Essential skills and qualifications

• Electrical and / or mechanical qualifications (time-served apprenticeship)
• 3+ years' experience in a medium / large automated manufacturing environment
• Leadership experience is preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance
• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and provide accurate plant condition reports
• Excellent communication skills with operatives, maintenance, and production team leaders
• PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous
• Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics
