GSL Education are welcoming applications for the position of ECT Teacher of Maths to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Newcastle from September 2025 . This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Career Teacher looking to complete their induction in a supportive and dynamic environment.

About the Role :

As a Maths ECT , you will deliver inspiring and engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, fostering a love of mathematics and supporting pupils in achieving their full academic potential. You will be supported by a dedicated induction mentor and an experienced department committed to professional growth.

Key Responsibilities of the ECT Teacher Maths :

• Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Support students of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress through effective feedback and differentiated learning strategies.
• Participate in departmental planning and CPD sessions to refine your teaching practice.
• Uphold school policies, particularly around safeguarding, behaviour, and inclusion.
• Engage with parents, carers, and external agencies to support pupil development and achievement.
