MATHS TEACHER

A Maths Teacher is required for a Newcastle based Alternative Provision to work with small groups in a KS3 and 4 setting. This Maths Teacher role is long term and full time and starting asap or after Easter. The school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.

The students to be taught will have struggled to cope with mainstream school for a variety of reasons so any experience of working in an Alternative Provision would be an advantage or a willingness to work with SEMH pupils. Students follow a reduced curriculum on a reduced school day.

The ideal Maths Teacher candidate would :

• Have good classroom management skills
• Have experience of teaching in Alternative Provisions
• Have a passion for teaching Maths
• Have excellent subject knowledge of Mathematics
• Be able to organise themselves
• Be able to plan effective, engaging Maths lessons.

We are keen to hear from both experienced teachers or ECTs.

Please note that the rate of pay is dependent on level of experience and qualifications achieved.
