Job Title : Planner
Reporting to : Project Manager
Purpose of the Position
The successful candidate will apply professional project management and work to the highest Health and Safety standards, allowing Omexom to build and maintain a strong reputation for the safe, on-time, and on-cost delivery of projects to the client's exact specifications.
Given the nature of our work in Ireland and the UK, there will be a requirement to work and stay overnight in the UK / Ireland on a regular basis.
This post will require a considerable degree of commitment, flexibility, and adaptability .
Responsibilities & Duties
Including But Not Limited To The Following
- Addressing issues that arise and changing plans accordingly
- Liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers to organise the phases of the construction development
- Producing tender plans to support bids
- Creating, maintaining, reviewing, and administering construction schedules and plans
- Liaising with the production and technical team
- Ensuring the progress of the project is running to time scales and cost plans
- Using Primavera P6
- Acting as a role model for Omexom Company Values

Qualifications And Experience
Experience working on major projects within the energy sector, preferably in electricity transmissionProficiency withinPrimavera P6 , including :Resource and cost loadingGenerating Earned Value reportsProducing graphic and tabular progress reportsExpert planning and scheduling knowledgeAbility to develop programmes from first principles and critically interrogate suppliers' programmesExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsGood knowledge ofNEC3 and its application to the programmeGood knowledge ofCDM and its impact on the programmeAccurate and concise report writing and presentation skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong computer literacy in MS Office and MS ProjectProficiency inMS Excel : including look-up tables, filtering, data manipulation, summarisation, and Excel functionsDesirable Criteria
