Electrical Controls Engineer

Chronos Energy are partnering with a Renewable Energy company that specialise in designing & installing commercial & industrial heat pump & solar projects. The projects range in size from 40kw to 10mgws. The company are looking for an Electrical Engineer who can lead Electrical & Control activities from design, installation & commissioning. This role is ideal for an ambitious engineer looking to grow his career in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

Lead Electrical design activities, ensuring compliance with DNO standards. Developing control strategies (Mod-Bus, SCADA) for efficient energy management. The role will include, wiring diagrams, single line design, cable sizing calculations, control spec writing & implementation.

The role will oversee the electrical installation process, collaborating with the construction team regarding any electrical issues.

You will lead commissioning of Electrical systems, ensuring optimal operation. You will conduct validation & testing of control systems.

Requirements

Experienced Electrical Engineer with strong knowledge of power systems, both Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV). Experience in renewable energy projects, especially Heat Pumps & Solar PV.

Degree educated in Electrical Engineering
