Controls and Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities :
- Specialize in designing, developing, and maintaining control systems that automate processes, including programming and configuring PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and other automation technologies.
- Ensure that all Control & Electrical assets are maintained in accordance with the company s requirements and in compliance with relevant statutory health & safety and environmental legislation.
- Keep records for plant maintenance and ensure timely inspections and actions based on testing / examining authorities recommendations.
- Champion continuous improvement processes, including breakdown analysis using RCFA techniques, and preventative and condition-based maintenance.
- Provide second-line maintenance support to engineers, facilitating root cause fault diagnosis on critical plant and equipment, and ensuring prompt plant recovery.
- Plan, engineer, and execute Control & Electrical work (projects, shutdowns, or other) safely and efficiently, within the allocated time and budget, to achieve performance and OEE targets.
- Supervise the acceptance and commissioning of plant and equipment, and prepare maintenance schedules and programmes to ensure reliable operation.
- Oversee and coordinate on-site third-party (e.g., contractor) activities to ensure compliance with company requirements and safety guidelines.
- Assist in budget development discussions and maintain systems for effective budget monitoring and control.
- Provide expert technical advice on Control & Electrical Engineering to ensure effective decision-making.
- Ensure efficient and safe operation of machinery and processes, focusing on system integration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
About You :
Qualified to HNC / D Level in Electrical or Control Engineering, or posses an equivalent qualification, with time served or suitably recognised qualification in electrical / control engineering.Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and expertise in WCM / TPM techniques.Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and experience in relevant software (e.g. design and calculation software)Capable of collaborative teamwork within a rotational shift schedule.We offer a competitive Salary, discretionary company bonus, 25 days holiday, Group Pension Plan with an employer contribution of 4-7.5%, Employee Assistance Programme, Group Life Insurance, Savings and discounts for everyday shopping.
