This is a fantastic opportunity to join WSP as part of an expanding team delivering a variety of prestigious projects. The role will be based in our centrally located office on First Street Manchester. Our office provides a quality, flexible and dynamic working space focused on the health and wellbeing of our staff and benefits from cutting-edge design, large amounts of natural light and large open spaces.

You will be joining our expanding Building Structures team, as an Engineer, with responsibility for the project management, technical leadership and delivery of schemes from inception through to handover of the completed scheme to the client.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to :

• Develop innovative and sustainable designs from concept, for a huge range of challenging projects, ranging from transportation hubs, and tall towers to healthcare, defence and education schemes, all with national and local architects.
• Take a key Technical leadership role on multi-disciplinary design projects from concept stage through to detailed design, in coordination with Architects, Engineers, and specialist consultants.
• Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities as they arise.
• Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
• Exercise independent judgement and resolve technical issues.
