Senior / Principal Structural Engineer

Your newpany are a leading, national multisciplinary engineering, architecture, project management and building services consultancy with over 50 years of experience designing and delivering iconic built environment schemes across the UK. Their Northern Civil & Structural team that you would be joining has 30 engineers and technicians, mostly based in Manchester.

They boast an impressive range of long-term clients across the education, sports & leisure, industrial, extra care, heritage,mercial and energy sectors, most often delivering projects in the £15m - £100m range.

Your new role

Joining the business as a Senior or Principal Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for producing structural engineering design packages across a number of medium to large development schemes, from initial concept through topletion. In addition to reporting and producing calculations, you will prepare client proposals, represent thepany in front of clients and contractors, lead and mentor small design teams through various RIBA stages and monitor project financials.

What you'll need to succeed

• You should have at least 6 years UK consultancy experience as a structural engineer.
• You will have made some progress with your Chartership preparation (either ICE or IStructE).
• You will also need to have gained experience designing a range of building structures in accordance with relevant design codes.
• You will have a strong working knowledge of structural analysis software TEDDS, Tekla, SCIA, Etabs etc.
