Engineering Manager

My client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop our multi-discipline engineering team, including the drafting function. In this key role, you will be responsible for resource planning, performance management, and continuously improving their engineering processes and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Implement and maintain robust engineering processes to ensure design integrity at all stages

Oversee engineering work planning, progress monitoring, and change management

Act as a technical expert and point of contact for clients, industry bodies, and regulatory authorities

Coach, mentor, and develop the engineering team to foster a culture of excellence

Manage project engineering hours and budgets to support sales, projects, and client needs

Participate in lessons learned reviews and apply continuous improvements

Requirements :

Degree in an applicable engineering discipline

Proven experience managing and leading an engineering team

Detailed knowledge of company products, systems, and relevant industry standards

Understanding of ISO 9000 requirements as they relate to engineering processes

Proficiency with engineering design software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MathCAD

Excellent communication, planning, and administrative skills

Desirable : Chartered Engineer status, experience in multiple engineering disciplines, knowledge of FEA and project management tools
