Post Title : Data and Intelligence Project Officer

Salary : £36,647 - £39,689 per year dependent on experience

Hours : Standard working week is 36 hours Monday to Friday. Hours can be worked flexibly in agreement with the Line Manager.

Location : West Lothian Council Civic Centre, Livingston. It is anticipated that the role will involve a blended model of office and home working. This flexible approach will be agreed between employee and line manager.

Are you passionate about using data to improve outcomes for people and communities in Scotland?

In this new and exciting role, you’ll will be responsible for developing national data sets to help support a better understanding of the needs of people and communities affected by violence, abuse and trauma, and the impact of the work taking place to address those needs. This will include : collecting, collating, analysing and reporting on data, evidence and intelligence; identifying key trends and findings; and exploring the most effective and accessible ways to present them to key stakeholders.

You will work collaboratively with a range of local and national partners including local authorities, the Scottish Government, COSLA, NHS Education for Scotland, Public Health Scotland and third sector partners to ensure a joined-up approach is taken to collecting, analysing and applying data and intelligence to drive forward improvements at a local and national level.

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience in gathering and analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
• Experience in communicating data and intelligence to a range of audiences, in an accessible way.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to work constructively with partners who may have different data needs and requirements.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload, multi-task and work to deadlines.
