Key Responsibilities as the Head Chef include :
- Organise and deliver high-quality food production and catering services meeting company and client standards.
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation across all food and service offerings – Grab & Go, Hospitality, Fine Dining, and Events.
- Maintain and achieve catering budgets and standards set by Lexington and client requirements without compromising quality.
- Establish and uphold health & safety and hygiene procedures in line with company policy.
- Produce and present food in collaboration with the kitchen team to maximise customer appeal and exceed expectations.
- Lead by example and monitor performance of all kitchen staff.
- Oversee purchasing, receiving, storage, and stock controls, demonstrating kitchen diligence.
- Manage finances through proper costing, stock-taking, and menu planning benefiting both Lexington and customers.
- Recruit, support, train, coach, and manage kitchen staff, setting an example for delivering efficient, high-quality, creative, and financially beneficial services.
- Enhance skills and knowledge through training and development for self and staff.
- Ensure attendance at relevant training and development courses.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure efficient work completion within desired timeframes.
Working Pattern
40 hours per week
Skills and Experience
Experience in producing high-volume, creative, and fresh food offerings.Up-to-date with current food trends and dining scene.Effective communicator : verbal and non-verbal, team builder, persuasive, flexible.Management skills : leadership, delegation, motivation, staff development, analysis, problem-solving, planning, organisation, decisiveness, judgment, and time management.Ability to create a motivated and enjoyable working environment.Restaurant background is preferable.
Benefits
Salary up to £50,000 per annum / hour plus overtime at one and a half times.
