Located 28 miles south of Rochester, 70 miles west of Syracuse, and 85 miles east of Buffalo, Canandaigua is a city in Ontario County, New York. Responsibilities

• Establishes safety as a priority within the Automation Team, and throughout the plant. Works closely with the Automation Team on safety suggestions / implementations. Demonstrates support of a “ zero harm ” environment.
• Provides strong ‘experience based’ leadership for the plant Automation Team.
• Oversees all plant Automation equipment. Responsible for planning, scheduling, training and directing both direct and indirect staff for automation maintenance and automation projects. Responsible for monthly automation maintenance spend.
• Responsible for all productivity in the automation areas, addressing day-to-day interruptions as they arise. Areas of automation include, but are not limited to, product counting / stacking, product bagging, case packing, palletizing, product conveying and robotic systems.
• Develops customer relationships with all departments and serves as their Automation point of contact - understands their needs and expectations and translates them into Automation service solutions.
• Develops, implements and / or continually improves preventive maintenance programs, and procedures for the effective operation of our automation equipment, including the documentation of this work.
• Prepares cost estimates for automation safety programs, repairs and / or renovations, equipment upgrades and cost savings projects. Serves as the project lead for these programs, providing guidance for design, implementation, and installation & startup support.
• Power user of the plant CMMS. Ensures proper recording of maintenance connection tickets, allocation of hours, ticket follow up and ticket closure.
