GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant (Primary) to work within a supportive school environment in Newcastle, starting in September 2025. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to supporting young learners in overcoming educational barriers and achieving emotional and academic growth. Role Overview : As a SEMH Primary TA, you will support primary-aged pupils with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties in both one-to-one and small group settings. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will play a key role in managing behaviour, promoting emotional well-being, and helping students engage with learning in a positive and structured environment. Key Responsibilities : Provide individualised support to pupils with SEMH needs across the primary age range. Assist in implementing behaviour strategies and emotional regulation plans.
