Job Overview

Leader Education is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in a Mainstream Primary School in Newcastle . The successful candidate will work 1 : 1 and in small groups with children who may have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) . Candidates must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have prior experience working with children aged 3 to 11 years old.

Working Hours and Start Date

The position is Monday-Friday, 8 : 30am to 3 : 30pm . It is a long-term role with an ASAP start available for candidates with a DBS on the Update Service .

Candidate Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working with young children
• Motivating and supportive attitude towards children
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to support students in achieving goals
• Assist in planning classroom activities and preparing materials
