SEN Teaching Assistant

We’re currently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in a range of SEN schoolsand alternative provisions across Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, support amazing young people, and work with a team that values your skills and time.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1 : 1 or small group support to pupils with SEN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD, Challenging Behaviour)
• Help implement learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction
• Create a positive, inclusive environment for learning
• Assist with personal care tasks where required (depending on setting)
