Thank you for your interest in the post of Labourer with Historic Environment Scotland that will be based in Stirling. This is apermanent position.
The Monument Conservation Unit (MCU) based at Stirling Castle is tasked with the responsibility for conservation maintenance and presentation works at Stirling Castle one of Historic Environment Scotlands flagship monuments. You will assist with conservation and routine maintenance works to HES monuments in the Stirling Depot area including Argylls Lodging Mars Wark and Stirling Old Bridge.

Excellent teamworking skills.
Ability to follow written & spoken instructions.
Comfortable working at height.
Mixing of both lime and cement mortars and transportation to and from working area.
Operation of basic plant equipment & power tools.
Experience of general labouring practices.
Providing semi-skilled assistance to enable trades to carry out their duties.
Maintain individual responsibilities for health & safety awareness and the health and safety of members of the public and fellow employees.
Ability to carry out all operations in a considerate and courteous manner.
Delivery of an effective and appropriate service to all service users fairly and without discrimination.
