Accountant

With a modern and inclusive working environment , our client is an independent firm looking to recruit an experienced practice Accountant (Part Qualified or Newly Qualified) to look after a varied portfolio of clients.

You will be joining a well-respected accounting firm, based in the Guildford area. This is a super firm to work with a friendly and supportive team. Previous experience working for an accounting practice is essential.

You will look after your own portfolio of clients who entirely outsource their finance function and other owner-managed businesses.

The role will include :

• Accounts preparation
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Lots of client interaction
• Independent examinations for which training will be provided

The firm uses a range of accounting software including Xero, Sage, and Iris and wishes to recruit a candidate who is conversant with up-to-date packages.

With a competitive salary (band of £35,000 - £45,000 set by Fletcher George as a guide) and benefits to include pension, 25 days holiday, hybrid working, and car parking. We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Accountants or late-stage studiers - study support is available if appropriate.
