Overview

Join Our Team as a Senior Support Worker

Location : Henbury, Bristol

Salary : £13.53 per hour (£26,383.50 pro-rata) plus benefits. Additional £50 per sleep-in shift.

Hours : 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, on a shift rota basis. You will also be on the on-call rota.

Contract : Full-time, Permanent.

Driving Requirement : A valid full UK manual driving license is essential for this role.

At SeeAbility South Gloucestershire Support Service in Henbury, we support a lively group of adults with a range of disabilities, including visual impairment, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities. Our home is energetic, creative, and focused on connection. The people we support enjoy being out and about, whether at discos, pubs, shops, or time with family.

Responsibilities

  • You will be a strong team player with the ability to lead by example, remaining professional, patient, and calm under pressure with experience of providing extraordinary support.
  • You will supervise daily outputs and assist the Registered and Deputy Manager in managing staff performance, development, and appraisals.
  • You will follow social care legislation and regulations to keep your team and home compliant.
  • You will demonstrate keeping accurate records, perform audits and quality outcomes for the people you support.
  • You will take personal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered to the people you support.
  • You will help plan and achieve both short- and long-term goals.
  • You will plan and support activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements, ensuring they are creative and explore new opportunities.
  • You will ensure the people you support and their families are treated with respect, dignity, equity, and equality.
  • You will have a QCF in Health & Social Care level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with willingness to undertake a level 3 in Health & Social Care and demonstrate knowledge of regulatory standards.
  • You will work in accordance with SeeAbility's values.

  • Essential criteria include exposure to complex care needs, behaviours that challenge, autism, learning disabilities and sight loss, physical disabilities, and supported living experience.
  • QCF Health & Social Care Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with willingness to undertake Level 3.
