The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of PE to join our team to cover a Maternity Leave. You will join an established team where students love PE and enjoy being challenged to be the best and develop their physical skills. This post is only available to female applicants as permitted under the Equality Act 2010.

You will be a creative, adaptable, and dedicated specialist with high aspirations and a love of PE which will enable you to deliver creative lessons to inspire pupils. In addition, you will have a demonstrable track record as an excellent classroom practitioner ensuring pupils meet or exceed expected progress.   • Qualification Title : Graduate in relevant subject with Qualified Teacher Status — Grade : Pass Essential

  • Well structured supporting letter indicating beliefs and understanding of important educational issues — Grade : Pass Essential
  • Commitment to and track record of continuing professional development relevant to subject area — Grade : Pass Essential

  • Experience / Knowledge : A knowledge of current health and safety issues — Essential
  • Experience in planning assessment strategies in line with desired outcomes — Essential
  • Understanding of competency-based curriculums in-line with assessment techniques and the ability to develop them — Essential
  • Understanding of assessment techniques and the ability to plan these into SOWs — Essential
  • Track record of embracing innovation — Essential
  • Up to date, excellent knowledge in subject, national and local policy, pedagogy, and classroom practice — Essential
