Job description

Anderson Knight is recruiting for a Mortgage Advisor on behalf of a well-established and expanding financial services firm based in Glasgow.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and fully CeMAP-qualified advisor to join a supportive, professional team. The role will involve advising clients on a full range of mortgage products including residential, second charge, buy-to-let, and bridging finance.This is a hybrid role, with 3 days based in the Glasgow office and 2 days working from home.Working hours : Monday – Thursday 9am–5pm, Friday 9am–4pm.Salary : £30,000 basic with OTE of £60,000.Main Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Advise clients on suitable mortgage products based on their individual financial circumstances and requirements
  • Manage the full mortgage application process from enquiry through to completion
  • Provide expert knowledge across residential, BTL, second charge, and bridging finance markets
  • Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and internal support teams to ensure smooth case progression
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the mortgage market, regulations, and compliance standards
  • Ensure all advice and recommendations are delivered in a compliant and professional manner
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and delivering wider financial solutions
  • Work towards individual and team KPIs and sales targets
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and provide ongoing support and advice where required
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all systems are kept up to date
  • You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while achieving individual and team targets.Key Attributes and Skills :
  • Fully CeMAP qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in mortgage advice, with strong knowledge of 2nd charge, BTL, and bridging finance (all would be advantageous)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and regulatory standards
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritise effectively
  • Comfortable working towards targets in a sales-focused environment
