The Role

To authorise and perform Radiographic examinations, providing direct care and a high quality diagnostic imaging service for the management of patients referred from clinicians and other referrers in NHS Lanarkshire

What we'll need you to bring

  • Registered Radiographer with valid HCPC Registration
  • The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology

It would be great if you also have.

  • BSc Honours in Radiography
  • Training / refresher on Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2000
  • Evidence of clinical training and personal motivation
  • Evidence of general radiography experience either as a qualified radiographer or as a student radiographer
  • Ability to liaise with medical, clerical, nursing and other radiographic staff
  • Please note a driving licence is desired and this must be a full UK / EU / EEA licence.
  • Contract type

  • Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months
  • Full time or Part Time
  • 37 hours
  • Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
  • Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
  • Location and Working Pattern

    This role will be based in Radiology Department within University Hospital Monklands.

    The working pattern for this role Monday-Sunday various shifts.
