Are you a dedicated English Instructor passionate about making a significant impact on students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Our SEMH school in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a versatile and committed English Instructor to join our team starting in September 2024. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students in a nurturing and supportive environment.

About the Role :

As an English Instructor, you will :

  • Deliver engaging and tailored English lessons that meet the diverse needs of SEMH students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans to address individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support students' overall development and well-being.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.

Qualifications and Experience :

The ideal candidate for the English Instructor role will have :

  • A strong background in teaching English, with relevant qualifications and experience.
  • Experience working with SEMH students or a willingness to undertake training in this area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
