Aramark UK is looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Chef Manager to join the fantastic team at Sainsburys Pineham Distribution Centre in Northampton. This is an exciting, permanent and full time opportunity working 40 hours per week across a range of days and shifts. You will be reporting into our Account Director. The role will assume responsibility for all food production across the site.

A day in the life of a Chef Manager :

  • Managing a busy 24-7 distribution centre
  • Covering food production in Chefs absence
  • Take ownership and accountability of all operational food management; production and service
  • Develop good commercial relationships with suppliers, ensuring receipt of service and quality levels required to obtain the highest financial return
  • Ensure all daily paper / computer work is complete and that inventories and reports are completed correctly and at the right time
  • Be accountable for the management and delivery of budget food subsidy, including GP & labour costs
  • Manage all casual labour including porters and ensure all food and labour costs are in line with budget and business needs
  • Be accountable for stock flow and rotation of product within the unit
  • Ensure a consistent high standard of hospitality offer
