Surface Materials Integration Engineer

We’re seeking a Surface Materials Integration Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Perceived Quality Manager , you will be owning PQ surface material programme deliverables for interior and / or exterior.

Leading all topics related to appearance and colour harmony, ensuring the products of Forseven exceed customer expectations. Focusing on collaborating cross-functionally and driving the introduction of surface materials that perform to engineering standards and cosmetic targets, mastering these fully validated, mass production ready materials.

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our planned Bicester location however in the interim based offices near Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What you’ll do

• Creating and maintaining a Surface Material List, or legend, which expresses A surface materials at engineering component level.
• Management of the mastering of these materials resulting in production master samples.
• Drive, track and report status for all direct source materials, supporting materials engineering writing test plans and releasing fully validated masters.
• Support trim feasibility trials and drive cosmetic issue resolution throughout launch.
• Validating commodities and components conform to cosmetic standards and completing appearance approvals on all components and commodities.
