A family-owned animal feed manufacturer, looking to recruit an Engineer to work within our current team. The role will be based at our mill in Yeovil. This is a full-time permanent role, as part of a well-established team who support the manufacturing process. We require a new member of the team to assist the Maintenance Manager to maintain the mill processing equipment to company & industry standards. This role is critical to ensure that breakdowns and downtime is kept to a minimum and maximum output is achieved to required quality standards. Applications from food, agricultural, or other comparable industries would be well suited to this role and environment.

Working hours : 45hrs per week typically Monday to Friday, and additional call outs when required.

Typical duties :

• Carry out daily operational checks and support production with equipment changes and setup.
• In the event of breakdowns, assist with fault identification and correction.
• Follow up on any improvements and feedback on preventative measures.
• Identify and carry out preventative maintenance works utilising the site's electronic maintenance system, (Pemac) and provide feedback on works undertaken.
