Locum Prison-Cleared Pharmacy Technician (Band 6)

Are you a Band 6 Pharmacy Technician with prison clearance looking for a rewarding locum role in Devon? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

  • Job Title : Pharmacy Technician (Band 6)
  • Location : Devon
  • Duration : 3 months (possibility of extension)
  • Schedule : 7 : 30 AM – 5 : 30 PM, 7 days per week (occasional shifts until 9 : 00 PM when required)
  • Start Date : March 2025
  • End Date : June (with potential extension)
  • Rate of Pay : £22 - £26 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing :

Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician and play a key role in delivering essential pharmacy services within a secure environment. In this role, you will :

  • Work directly on prison wings to support medication administration
  • Ensure safe and efficient medication distribution to inmates
  • Provide pharmaceutical advice to healthcare staff and patients
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to prison pharmacy regulations

    • Requirements & Qualifications :

    To be successful in this role, you will need :

  • Prison clearance (mandatory)
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a prison or secure environment
  • A valid GPhC registration
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting

    • Working Hours & Contract Duration :

    This role requires availability 7 days per week from 7 : 30 AM – 5 : 30 PM , with occasional later shifts until 9 : 00 PM when required . The contract is initially for 3 months , with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
