Job Title : Electrical Biased Field Service EngineerLocation : Based out of Loughborough (Nationwide Travel Required)Salary : £DOEShifts : 4 on / 4 off - Days & Nights (Including Weekends)Company Vehicle : Van ProvidedJob Overview : We are looking for a skilled and flexible Electrical Biased Field Service Engineer to provide nationwide support across multiple depots. This role involves a mix of hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting electrical systems, and offering technical support via a help desk when required. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on electrical systems in rolling stock and associated equipment.
  • Provide technical support remotely via a help desk, assisting with fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Travel to various depots nationwide to support maintenance teams and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and electronic systems.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and depot teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and report on technical issues.Requirements :
  • Electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC / HND, or equivalent).
  • Experience working on rolling stock, heavy plant, or industrial electrical systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills in electrical and electronic systems.
  • Ability to travel nationwide as required.
  • Full UK driving licence (Company van provided).
  • Comfortable working 4 on / 4 off shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, both in-person and via help desk support.Benefits :
