Salary : £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a talented Setting Out Engineer to join a leading structural steel company based in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects and be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of the construction industry.

Role Overview :

As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of structural steelwork on a variety of projects. Your responsibilities will include interpreting technical drawings, setting out steel components, and liaising with site teams to maintain quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Setting out and surveying for structural steel installations.
  • Interpreting and working from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to high standards of accuracy and within deadlines.
  • Collaborating with site managers, contractors, and design teams to address any challenges or discrepancies.
  • Conducting quality checks and maintaining records of work completed.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations on-site.

Key Requirements :

  • Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, ideally within the structural steel sector.
  • Strong understanding of structural steelwork, technical drawings, and layout principles.
  • Proficiency in using setting out equipment such as total stations and GPS.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (degree, HNC, or equivalent preferred).
  • A valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
