Centre Manager / Charity Leader

A compassionate and dynamic Centre Manager / Charity Leader is needed to join the team at St Christopher's Community Centre based in Bradford on a full-time basis.This is a pivotal opportunity to join a respected and well-established community charity as it enters an exciting new phase of growth and development. With a 30-year legacy and over 400 visitors every week, we are looking for someone who can bring energy, leadership and a strong sense of purpose to help build community, hope and opportunity for the people of Holmewood.You'll be working alongside an experienced trustee board and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to lead and shape the future of the newly merged organisation - combining the work currently delivered through the Family Centre and the Good Neighbours Project.Key Responsibilities : Provide clear strategic and day-to-day leadership across all aspects of St Christopher's Community CentreWork with trustees to develop a strong vision and strategy for the futureLead and support the delivery of activities for children, young people, families, and older peopleInspire and manage a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring safeguarding and inclusive practicesManage budgets and oversee funding applications and reportingBuild relationships and partnerships across the local voluntary and statutory sectorsMaintain excellent communication and ensure the Centre's impact is clearly demonstratedOversee operational systems and ensure legal compliance and good governanceWork closely with trustees to keep the organisation sustainable and forward-lookingRequired Skills : Significant leadership or management experience within a charity or voluntary organisationDemonstrated ability to manage teams and lead inclusive, people-focused servicesExperience of managing budgets, fundraising, and reporting to stakeholdersSkilled in developing and delivering programmes for at least one of the Centre's core groups (older people, children and young people, or young families)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsStrategic thinker with a hands-on, can-do approachKnowledge of safeguarding and charity governanceAbility to work collaboratively, flexibly, and independentlyPersonal Attributes : Compassionate and people-centredSelf-motivated, organised and efficientAdaptable, resilient and enthusiasticCommitted to equity, inclusion and building communityThis is a unique chance to shape the future of a deeply rooted and widely respected community organisation at a significant point in its journey.
