Job Description

Be trusted to make great things happen

Are you ready to take up a vital role in shaping some of our exciting projects? How about joining our talented team, where everyone has a voice, and together we face our clients' problems head-on. It's a diverse and inclusive work environment where world-class talent knows no distinctions.

We know that different people have different priorities, which is why we're here to support you. Flexible and remote working is a central part of our culture. So talk to us about what's ideal for you - from reduced weeks to buying more leave over school holidays. And if you're returning from a career break, ask us how we can help you transition back into work with us.

As a Structures Asset Engineer, you'll work across a collaborative environment, engaging with both internal teams and external partners like National Highways. You'll help shape how structural assets - including bridges, culverts, and gantries - are inspected, maintained, and renewed across the M25.

Your responsibilities will include supporting inspection programmes, contributing to condition reporting and lifecycle planning, and helping develop asset management strategies that balance performance, risk, and value.

It's an exciting era for UK highways, with the rise of intelligent networks, autonomous technology and mobility as a service.

We offer flexible working where you will typically be working from your base CPS office, Leatherhead, Dartford or South Mimms or on the M25 network (site-based) up to three days per week and two days from home.

Your purpose :

  • Working closely with Structures Manager and Senior / Principal Structures Asset Engineers in managing the Structures Asset. Interface with Asset Investment, Technical, Design, Delivery and Maintenance teams across the Connect Plus / Connect Plus Services Team.

  • Assist in the development and review / authorisation of inspections, the development of the asset inventory and the continual and improved alignment of the inspection programme within Agile, SMIS and the IAMIS systems.

What you can bring :

Qualifications / Skills / Experience :

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent.
  • Working towards a professional qualification such as MICE, MIAM, MIStructE, or similar.
