Senior Surveyor - Valuations

We have an exciting growth opportunity for experienced RICS registered valuer to join our commercial valuations team based in London as a Senior Surveyor. The post holder will contribute to growing the Commercial valuations business, building client relations and work with the existing department Partners to grow the team.

Within valuations, we cover a national wide remit of properties including residential development, viability assessments, commercial and mixed-use developments, industrial warehouses, offices, and retail.

Main tasks

• Work within the existing valuation team in London, providing valuations for loan security (vacant possession and investment), internal decision making purposes, tax and financial reporting purposes.
• Carry out inspections, calculating floor and site areas, comparable research, demographic and economic research, planning and statutory enquiries, company trading analysis, lease reading and summarising, development / option agreement reading and reviewing, preparation of valuations / development appraisals.
• Contribution to the growth of the business by identifying new business opportunities across the Commercial valuation sector.
• Assist in the delivery of major projects.
• Financial and client reporting.
• Delivery of valuation reports in accordance with client instructions and RICS Valuation Standards.
• Participation in the ongoing development and implementation of an effective profit centre business plan developed in-line with the Carter Jonas vision.

What does it take to be successful?

You will be an experienced chartered surveyor and registered valuer, with a strong knowledge of valuations across commercial assets. You will have the ability to lead a team and manage key clients across the region. You will ideally have a strong understanding of the local market and will be able to identify new opportunities to grow the business further. Travel will be required in this role and a driving licence is essential.
