Design Engineer / Design Coordinator

My client is a World Leading Civil Engineering Contractor.They are currently seeking a Design Engineer / Design Coordinator to work on a major Civil Engineering Project in the Porthmadog area of North Wales.This project is valued at circa £250m and has a life cycle of another 3+ years.The company welcome applications from those residing in the local area and further afield where subsistence and accommodation can be provided.DutiesAssist Design manager in updates to CDM plans.Assist Design manager where needed to check for compliance with NR and BS guidance of designing for H+SAssist DM in assessing work complete to inform period application for payment from design suppliersWork with BIM / Doc control team to ensure project documentation is at correct project status and assisting BIM team where new information is incoming and needs uploading to CDE.Review design documentation incoming for completeness with BIM requirement and respond to BIM queries from BIM team.Chase down responses to TQs and other design queries.Compile design packs for onward inclusion in construction contractsCheck compliance with client deliverable requirements and keep record / tracker updated Person SpecificationA recognised qualification within a relevant subjectPrevious experience of working on major civils projects in a design capacityRail Experience (Desirable)Understand the requirements of ISO 9001 with respect to design Benefits : Competitive basic salaryCompany car or car allowanceCompany pension scheme26 days holiday plus all the Bank HolidaysTraining and progression
