Quantity Surveyor - Ross-on-WyeAn exciting opportunity near Ross-on-Wye waits for a Quantity Surveyor to join a prominent construction main contractor on a permanent basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial success of projects, overseeing all costs and income related to the schemes, and mitigating the company's financial risks. Your involvement in this project will involve being a key member of a team, with prior experience in commercial projects being a vital asset for this position. This position will include the following responsibilities : Procurement of materials and off-site services in an efficient manner as directed ensuring organisations are capablePreparation of subcontract invitations to tender and evaluate tender returnsMaximise cash flow through timely preparation of valuations, submission of invoices and receipt of paymentAssist in the prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts, including variations, claims and disputesContribute to the production of accurate and timely CVR reports and forecastsMeasurement of works and agreements with subcontractorsPrompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and subsequent cash collectionTranslate measurement from drawings and specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of ratesCollation of Cost and Value InformationPreparation of Cost reconciliation statementsRequirements : Degree within Quantity Surveying or construction relatedProficient use of Microsoft PackagesExtensive experience of working on live projects and final accountsExposure to resolving disputesAbility to negotiate with clients / sub contractors and draft sub contractsSuccessfully completed a number of final accountsRelevant driving licenceSC ClearanceIf you would like to discuss this vacancy, please do call RGB Recruitment Exeter and ask for Nicky Harris
