Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Campaigns

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to raise the profile of Birmingham City FC’s women’s team.
  • Plan and deliver engaging marketing campaigns across digital, social, print, and PR channels.
  • Manage content calendars, working across departments to ensure timely delivery of campaigns.
  • Work closely with agencies and in-house designers to create compelling marketing materials.

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Create and implement a long-term brand strategy for the women’s team, ensuring consistency in messaging and visual identity.
  • Conduct market research to identify target audiences and develop tailored marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the design team to maintain a consistent brand identity each season.
  • Fan Engagement & Community Building

  • Increase fan engagement through events, social media activations, and fan-focused campaigns.
  • Build and manage a strong online community, enhancing fan loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the ticketing team to drive effective ticketing strategies and sales.
  • Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance and fan engagement metrics, providing insights to inform future strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports on marketing efforts, ROI, and brand visibility.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal spending for maximum impact.

  • Experience in senior marketing, ideally within sports or football.
  • Strong understanding of women’s football and its target audience.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and analytics.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for women’s football and a commitment to its growth.
  • Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • Experience working with sports teams and agencies.
