Location : Ledbury, Herefordshire

Contract Type : Temporary (Agency) with potential for permanent school contract starting September 2025

Salary : Paid to Scale.

Start Date : Immediate

About the Role :

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Ledbury. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the education and lives of young people with diverse learning needs. Initially appointed through an agency, there is a strong possibility for the successful candidate to transition to a permanent school contract commencing in September 2025.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and confidence.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Engage with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to support student development.

Requirements :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Maths, preferably within an SEN setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse needs.

    • Desirable :

  • Additional qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience with specific SEN strategies and interventions.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
